My reflections on the happenings of this past year seem as mixed as a bag of jelly beans. Frankly, my 2022 bag had more flavors to spit out than to enjoy. Physically, this year has been my worst yet. I can’t clearly remember a day that was not dominated by pain management. Yet, as severe as has been the discomfort at times, I have been most discouraged by the distraction it has been. I thought I knew something about ministering through weakness before living through 2022. However, I feel as though I was forced to move ahead a couple of grades in this training “school” of learning, trusting, and obeying. Perhaps there will be a few more breaks between lessons in 2023. Thank you for your loving prayers for my wellness. Please pray that my soul will be shaped into His best intentions through any and all circumstances I face. I covet your prayers.
Thrillingly, there were also significant blessings in the mix. In my weakness, He proved strong! The growth of the ministry of Laughing Child, during my worst year, is a profound testimony to my spirit of His ownership of this vision. The development and implementation of our new Family Bridges Ministry is also a witness of the gifts and calling of our incredible team in Mexico City making it happen. Please keep them in your prayers. Lastly, the successes of this year are a powerful testimony of how God uses YOU. Your prayers and financial gifts to this ministry are the propelling force behind our advancements. It is truly humbling, and beyond beautiful, for me to gain deeper understanding of how appropriately insignificant is my personal contribution to His Kingdom work. It is the Body of Christ, the Family of God, who minister the Great News that Jesus Christ is Lord! Thank you for including and enabling me to be a part of His exciting movement of love and healing among the broken families we are privileged to serve.
